Hine uku personifies clay or mud and is found within the subterranean soils of Papatuanuku, her mauri fashioned into form by the hands of wahine, she holds the frequency within this sacred offering. Filled with a soft, delicate panipani that personifies the medicine of Hine Raumati the divine summer maiden. This lush golden body butter is woven with the elements of kowhai, chamomile, rose, lavender, tawari honey and sea buckthorn oil. Adorning the body with native plant extracts is daily ritual in my home, there is nothing more beautiful than honoring oneself with hand crafted elixirs that whakapapa directly to Papatuanuku. Tracing the whakapapa of everything i co-create is at the heart of my ethos, as the energy is then transferred to you with the purest and most loving intention.
Medicinally she nourishes dehydrated and malnourished kiri, detoxifying dead skin while nurturing new cell growth, shes a calmitive with the spirit to ground the senses when overwhelmed. Traditionally, chamomile has been used for centuries as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and mild astringent, she is used to treat wounds, ulcers, eczema, gout, skin irritations, bruises, burns, sciatica, rheumatic pain, hemorrhoids, mastitis and other ailments. Externally, chamomile has been used to treat nappy rash, cracked nipples and chicken pox.
Packaged in limited edition uku (clay) pottles that were fashioned by sister Annabelle, each jar uniquely different, and varying in color and tone, these offerings are 100 % eco friendly once the content is finished you can reuse the jar in whichever way you feel inspired in your own home. The jars are wrapped in organic hessian fabric which separates the contents from the outside world keeping this limited edition free of any wasteful packaging.
