If you are here, you are feeling the stir of your Ancestors guiding you to gather with us, on land in the northern reaches of Te Wai Pounamu. I encourage you to listen. This intimate wananga is open to one hundred souls only, as we are keeping this kaupapa within our reach. You are investing in the shift of a lifetime, for you will leave Te Puna Wai o Huriawa full of kaha to guide you further on your journey of healing.

This kaupapa is fully catered, you will receive an array of organic, home made exotic dishes prepared with local produce and kai moana over the three days. Zero waste our ethos is grounded in mindful consumption, where Papatūānuku’s well being sits at the heart of our offerings. There will be hot water and teas available, feel free to bring any produce, honey, rongoa or teas from your land to share. We welcome this koha and exchange of produce. To keep things simple we encourage you to bring your own plate, coffee mug and cutlery as we are developing our space on land without modern day luxuries. So, we will be working together over the course of the gathering, lunch and dinners will be picnic style overlooking the Te Tai Tapu so please be prepared to sit humbly with us on land. This is not a five star retreat, we are bringing the kaupapa back to the essence of whanaungatanga – kinship and community.

There is camping enough for fifty people only, toilets and showers for those choosing to stay. Please make sure you outline this below if you are wanting to camp, it will be first in first served. Camping is limited to smaller tents only, there is also space for camper vans and vans for those equipped. There is a local campground near by in Collingwood, and a variety of accommodation to be found on Airbnb if you are wanting more comfort. We encourage bookings earlier rather than later, as Summer is extremely busy in Golden Bay. You are coming at the best time of year.

We look forward to sharing these 3 powerful days with you deep in wananga.
